Migration of the B2C online store Nostro.bg from PrestaShop to Magento and Hyvä Storefront

Based on its accumulated experience in eCommerce, the Nostro Bulgaria team decided to migrate its online store to a platform that better aligns with its growth strategy and customer expectations. NostroLux chose to trust the Stenik team for the migration to Magento with Hyvä Storefront, focusing on stability, performance, UX, and scalability.

Our team delivered the migration of nostro.bg to Magento and Hyvä Storefront, introducing numerous improvements in the user interface (UX), functionalities, and business process management. We developed the online store in line with the latest industry trends, both in terms of design and functionality.

Highlights of the implemented improvements and new capabilities:

  • A complete redesign based on the Hyvä theme for excellent eCommerce store speed performance.
  • UI/UX interface with a focus on a mobile-first experience.
  • Migration of customer profiles and product data from the old database to the new online store.

  • On the product detail page, a functionality for adding an extended warranty is implemented, allowing the user to select an additional warranty (e.g., +1 or +2 years) through a dropdown menu before adding the product to the cart. The value of the selected warranty is displayed as a separate item in the cart.
  • Integration with the NostroClub loyalty program:

- Option to order a club card and have it automatically added to the customer’s profile for future purchases.
- Option to add an existing club card to a registered user’s account.

  • Up-sell functionality on the product page and in the cart.
  • Cross-sell offers to encourage additional purchases.

  • Wishlist for saving products for future purchases.
  • Re-order functionality allowing customers to access their purchase history and reorder desired products in just a few clicks.

  • Automatic checkout message calculating and showing how much more the customer needs to spend to reach the free shipping threshold.
  • Integration of the courier company Speedy in the Magento checkout for delivery to address or office, with a one-time address entry by the user.
  • Installment payment option with TBI.
  • Synchronization with a CRM system.
  • Newsletter subscription synchronized with MailChimp.
  • Integration with an external chat.
  • Presentation of NostroLux locations, including photos, location, working hours, contact information, and Google Maps visualization for easier discovery of physical stores.

  • Flexible marketing tools for promotions, offers, and sales stimulation.
