2025 2025 90% Customer satisfaction
2025 90% Customer satisfaction

In 2025, we continue the "endless game," firmly grounded, maintaining and enhancing the high quality of our services and solutions. In 2024, we conducted a survey among our clients, which showed a result of 90% overall satisfaction with our work, proving the high quality of our services and our personalized approach to each client and project. This year, our goal is to maintain and improve this result to an even higher level by adapting global eCommerce solutions and know-how to the needs of Bulgarian merchants, making them more competitive in the digital economy. In 2025, ambitious merchants can expect the highest level of digitalization - faster online stores, accessible mobile shopping apps, customized B2B platforms, and shorter startup times and budgets for new online stores.

2024 20 years of world-class eCommerce solutions
20 years of world-class eCommerce solutions

2024 was a milestone year for us at Stenik - two decades of delivering world-class solutions to Bulgarian merchants, helping them remain competitive and successful both locally and internationally. Our greatest reward was a 90% overall satisfaction rate from a survey among our clients, which serves as our motivation to continue moving forward and evolving. We became the first Hyvä Silver partner in Bulgaria, expanding our portfolio with even more fast online stores. We began running alongside leading brands, for which we developed custom B2B platforms and B2C e-commerce stores. With Cypho Theme, we achieved the optimal balance between development time, budget, and quality, building online stores and B2B solutions. We launched the first live mobile shopping apps for iOS and Android, integrated with the existing ecosystem of merchants, taking their businesses to the next level. Alongside our work, we shared knowledge and know-how at various eCommerce events and participated as guest speakers at numerous ones. You can read the full retrospective of the year on our blog.

2023 We expanded the possibilities for B2B merchants
We expanded the possibilities for B2B merchants

In 2023, at Stenik, we charted new horizons. We successfully digitized a number of businesses for our clients and grew our portfolio of satisfied retailers and B2B merchants. We are proud to have launched twice as many projects compared to the previous year. Continuing the trend from 2022, we expanded the digitalization capabilities for numerous B2B merchants through the functionalities and customizations we developed in Magento. We worked purposefully on a new service - mobile apps for our current and future clients, which will make them more competitive in the digital economy, especially in the tough competition with foreign players entering the Bulgarian online market. We made Magento accessible to a wider range of merchants. We created the solution - our Cypho theme, suitable for both large and small to medium-sized businesses. 2022 Even faster online stores
Even faster online stores

Stenik continued to help local eCommerce grow, ensuring that the end user feels comfortable and secure. In 2022, we became the first Bulgarian company to officially become a Hyvä Supplier. Hyvä Storefront is a technological innovation that helps the online stores we develop for our clients to be even faster and more intuitive for users. The first project in which we implemented the Hyvä storefront was the largest online pharmacy in Bulgaria - Galen.

Alongside these innovations, we significantly expanded the Stenik team. We have been and continue to work hard on the internal training of our eCommerce specialists and developers, placing a strong emphasis on internship programs. More and more of our clients value our approach and way of working - evidence of this is the return of clients who previously tried services from other eCommerce companies.

2021 Prepared for the E-Commerce Boom
Prepared for the E-Commerce Boom

We skillfully leveraged the eCommerce boom caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, improving the quality of the solutions and services we offer. At the same time, we managed to expand our team, significantly increasing our resources of developers and project managers. This led to the acquisition of several new partnerships with leading merchants, and our relationships with existing clients became even stronger.

Despite the pandemic, we continued our participation in eCommerce events to spread our knowledge and assist merchants and specialists. But our greatest pride is the film we created.

Stenik works on Magento Commerce projects

The year 2020 started off with a bang at Stenik, as in addition to publicly announcing our partnership with Magento as a Magento Solution Partner, we began working on our first Magento Commerce project.

A key moment for us came in April 2020, when we made the decision to merge our website development team with the larger department dedicated to online store development. This way, we became a 100% eCommerce-focused company.

2019 Adobe & Magento welcomed us into their family
Adobe & Magento welcomed us into their family

After many years of hard work and focus in the field of online commerce, Stenik became an official partner of Adobe. This was a natural continuation of the fact that Stenik is a Magento certified developer and has made an exceptional contribution to the development of eCommerce in Bulgaria at a technical level, solidifying Magento as the top platform for large merchants.

We also entered into in-depth negotiations with Magento and merchants to enable, for the first time, a merchant in Bulgaria to integrate the paid version of Magento Commerce and experience the next level of eCommerce.

2018 We created Stenik: Series 2
We created Stenik: Series 2

In 2018, we launched on YouTube & Facebook Stenik: Series 2 - a video series with useful eCommerce tips for serious online merchants.

As eCommerce in Bulgaria developed, so did the needs of our clients. With the growth of their sales, the demand for enterprise solutions naturally followed. Over the year, we gained the trust of large retailers and brands and worked on eCommerce projects for Douglas Bulgaria, Lili Doregerii Bulgaria, and WMF.

Throughout the year, we also paid significant attention to our clients looking to expand internationally. We created a number of localized online stores in Romania and Greece.

2017 Stenik started offering Magento 2
Stenik started offering Magento 2

In 2017, at Stenik, we successfully launched our first online store for a client, based on the entirely new Magento 2. The platform offers exceptional opportunities for starting and growing in eCommerce. We created a plan to optimize and customize Magento 2 for the needs of Bulgarian merchants, just as we did with the previous version of the eCommerce solution. Because we believe it is the most suitable platform for online stores for merchants in Bulgaria.

2016 Development of the support department
Development of the support department

In 2016, we at Stenik invested in our Support department, which handles technical maintenance and consulting for clients for whom we have already developed an online store or website. Over the years, we found that one of the main reasons companies switch web agencies is the lack of quality support and slow response times. We worked for about two years to provide our current and future clients with optimized Support packages and a streamlined workflow, ensuring they feel technically secure and at ease

2015 Leaders in eCommerce
Leaders in eCommerce

The year 2015 proved that Stenik’s investment in skilled Magento specialists and their certification was well worth it. With projects like the online stores for KFC, Global Brands Store, and Sofia Outlet Center, we solidified our position as the leading and most sought-after web agency in Bulgaria for developing and maintaining successful online stores. Despite the rise of the eCommerce department, Stenik’s web development team also worked hard. A testament to this is the launch of the new corporate website for Kino ARENA, which stands as the gem of our company’s portfolio.

2014 Quality over quantity!
Quality over quantity!

In 10 years at Stenik, we created over 700 projects for more than 600 clients, primarily from Bulgaria. We are happy to have helped many of them develop their business and win in the online space! We also created a unique, close-knit, and motivated team of web specialists that few companies in Bulgaria can boast about. In 2014, with the launch of our new corporate website www.stenikgroup.com, our motto became "Quality оver quantity," because we understand the clients' need for quality support. But we know we couldn't have reached this quality without having done quantity first. That's what we worked on for 10 years. And we continue.

2013 Advancing mobile technologies
Advancing mobile technologies

We continued to solidify our reputation as the #1 eCommerce company in Bulgaria by developing online stores such as Ozone.bg and providing many free expert insights for clients through Stenik's blog. We placed a strong focus on expanding our mobile development team, launching dozens of impressive mobile applications and mobile versions of websites and online stores. Throughout the year, we participated as speakers at numerous seminars and conferences, including SocialMe Workshop and "Sell more online." To stay up to date with global trends, our team attended Europe's largest eCommerce exhibition, eCommerce Expo London, in October. We gained valuable insights into online stores and mobile development while establishing connections with global developers and consultants.

2012 Magento and Stenik transformed Bulgaria’s eCommerce scene
Magento and Stenik transformed Bulgaria’s eCommerce scene

We became the leading web agency in Bulgaria for developing large-scale online stores such as Hippoland and Koketna, all thanks to the Magento eCommerce platform and our skilled developers. We also created corporate websites for Metro Bulgaria, Karoll, and Euromarket using our StenikCMS and TYPO3 platforms. Our applications, TAXI Bulgaria and Name Day Greetings, reached over 40,000 downloads for iPhone and Android within six months and remained in the top 3 on the App Store and Google Play for a long time. We were speakers at SocialMe Workshop, attended eCommerce exhibitions in Munich and London, and gave interviews on BG On Air, TV7, and SocialEvo. Our success in web design earned us awards from the Bulgarian Web Association and BG Site 2012. We also sponsored the "Internet Safety" seminar, organized by the Youth Voice Association and supported by the Cybercrime Unit (GDBOP), while Stefan Chorbanov judged and mentored a young web talent competition in Montana.

2011 As developers, speakers, and mentors for the young
As developers, speakers, and mentors for the young

We organized an "Open Doors Day for Web Interns," attended by over 150 young web talents over two days. This initiative grew into the Stenik Development Center, where more than 60 web developers competed over four months. The success of a company goes hand in hand with the personal growth of its managers. Stefan and Dimitar attended numerous Bulgarian and international web events as speakers, exhibitors, and visitors, including Internet World, OnlineBiz, Digitex, Webit, and DesignDay. Alongside developing dozens of successful websites and online stores, we made a strong entry into mobile web development, creating mobile sites and apps for Android and iOS.

2010 Initiatives to support clients and users
Initiatives to support clients and users

Our clients, partners, friends, and fans made 2010 the most successful year in Stenik’s history - we doubled our team size and moved to a new, twice-as-large office on Gotse Delchev Blvd. 50 in April. That year, we embraced social responsibility by creating a website for the Cybercrime Unit (www.cybercrime.bg) to protect online users from cyber threats, a website for a children’s home in Ludogorie, and an initiative to build an official website for the 91st German Language High School. We also launched the unique "Stenik: The Series," a collection of video clips offering free advice for clients looking for a web development company. Our partnership with Bulgaria’s leading hosting provider, Host.bg, strengthened further, and we became an official design partner, exhibitor, and presenter at WebXpo, Bulgaria’s only web design and hosting exhibition, held in Sofia, Plovdiv, and Varna in June.

2009 First exhibitions and Internship program

In the midst of the economic crisis, when all companies were reducing their staff, Stenik doubled the size of its team. The result came quickly - we recorded a record number of inquiries and orders for website and online store development. Thanks to a very strong online campaign on social media, we gained many new fans, clients, friends, and popularity in the industry. Stenik's blog won 3rd place in the prestigious competition.

2008 Expanding to Germany and 250 clients in our portfolio
Expanding to Germany and 250 clients in our portfolio

An extremely successful year for Stenik - we tripled our sales and reached a record turnover. Knowing that great business relies on great professionals, we doubled the size of the Stenik family. We also acquired a new, modern office where every one of our 250+ clients was always welcomed with a cup of coffee. This year, we established strong international business relationships - not only in Germany but also in the USA, UK, Italy, France, Czech Republic, Israel, the British Isles, and Greece. Most notably, we signed a partnership agreement with the German web design company nwebs GbR.

2007 New image, new office, and team expansions
New image, new office, and team expansions

A key year for us as we completely revamped our logo and website - a fresh new beginning. Stenik got a brand-new identity and moved into our first office in a building on Tsarevo Selo Street, which turned out to be very lucky for us. There, we met our first real employees and closed some of our most crucial deals. Zlatan Abadzhiev joined the team and became a key figure in Stenik’s project management for years to come. In 2007, we welcomed clients such as Domaine Boyar, Amotera, Kabelkomers, RISK Electronics, Western Union Bulgaria, Top Drinks, and many more important partners. That same year, Nikolay Dimitrov spent an extended period in Karlsruhe, Germany, strengthening Stenik’s presence in the German market.

2006 Bianor contributes know-how, and Dimitar brings strong resources
Bianor contributes know-how, and Dimitar brings strong resources

Software company Bianor entrusted us with several web projects, supporting the young and enthusiastic Stenik team. This marked the beginning of a successful mentorship and partnership. Stefan and Nikolay left for Karlsruhe, Germany, to complete their education. During this time, they brought in their third business partner, Dimitar Dimitrov, and officially founded Stenik. Dimitar took charge of client communication in Bulgaria while his partners were abroad.

2005 First major client and first online store
First major client and first online store

A year we will never forget. Stenik received its first orders - developing corporate websites for Kalini Travel Agency, Unisnab Ltd. (Plovdiv), and Serena Ltd. (Kyustendil). These early successes gave us the confidence to land our first major client - Fantastico Retail Chain. With hard work, things started falling into place - clients, projects, and recognition. Our online store, Pakostnik.com, won fourth place in the "Technology and Market" category at the international "Computer Space" competition and remained one of the leading baby product eCommerce stores for years.

2004 Stefan and Nikolay founded Stenik

As second-year students at "TU Sofia," Stefan Chorbanov and Nikolay Dimitrov combined their design and programming skills under the name Stenik. Our first project was the web portal Studentskigrad.net, which received a nomination and a certificate at the 16th edition of the international "Computer Space" competition.
