Our collaboration with Raya Toys began in 2018 when we developed their first online store. Since then, the company has relied on our technical support and eCommerce consulting to grow their digital presence. In 2021, in response to the growing needs of the business and its customers, we migrated the platform to the latest version of Magento and enhanced it with new functionalities.
Raya Toys operated a single online store serving both retail and wholesale customers. As the business expanded and the customer base grew, challenges arose in managing wholesale orders and servicing their B2B partners. This necessitated an eCommerce solution that would optimize their business processes and facilitate wholesale sales to other retailers.
Our team created a separate B2B store, managed from a shared Magento administration alongside the B2C store for retail customers. The new platform is specifically designed to meet the needs of Raya Toys and streamline order processing for their partners.
Here are some of the key features implemented in the B2B store:
- Migration of existing B2B customers from the old site to ease the transition and maintain the customer base with minimal service interruptions.
- When registering on the B2C online store, users have the option to check "I want to register as a wholesale trader." Upon selecting this option, an extended form appears with additional mandatory fields, including company details, phone number, VAT number, online store (optional), and physical store information (optional). After completing the form, the B2B store registration request is sent for review by an authorized Raya Toys administrator. Approval or rejection of the registration is handled within the platform administration.
- Automatic validation of partner phone numbers during registration and checkout.
- Sending personalized emails for successfully submitted B2B store registration requests (approval/rejection of the corresponding partner’s registration by the Raya Toys administrator), orders, and updates when orders are edited.
- A user-friendly interface, specially designed to meet the needs of B2B clients. Improved navigation and a better user experience for B2B users.
- B2B client login with access to order history. Access is restricted to approved users only.
- Individual price lists: Each partner has personalized price lists linked to their VAT number, displaying base price, price with special discounts, and price excluding VAT, derived from the ERP system. Prices are set in the administration based on VAT percentage—9% or 20%.
- Visual improvements to the site—new labels showing individual percentage discounts for logged-in partners.
- Indication of products already added to the partner's cart while shopping.
- In the "My Profile" section, partners have convenient quick buttons for access to different sections of their profile, along with a left-hand navigation menu.
- The product detail page displays the selling price (regular), personalized price including VAT, and personalized price excluding VAT for the partner.
- The checkout provides a detailed order overview, showing the total amount with and without VAT, as well as individual product prices with different VAT rates—20% and 9%.
- In the "My Profile" → "My Orders" section, and when reviewing an order, partners have the option to export order details in PDF or XLSX format.
- On the "Thank You" page, the partner has the option to follow the "Repeat order for another location" link, which automatically loads all products from the last order into a new cart, allowing for a quick order for another partner location.
With the new functional B2B platform, Raya Toys achieved increased efficiency in managing sales to their wholesale clients, improved service, and optimized business processes.
