What to expect after applying?

Our HR department reviews every application we receive. The recruitment process includes a careful selection of candidates who meet all criteria and are suitable for the position. In the next stage, we personally contact the selected candidates with an invitation to conduct a video interview. Those who perform well are invited for an in-person meeting and to complete a small skills and knowledge test. Those who stand out are given an internship offer from Stenik.

How do internships at Stenik work?

The internship usually lasts 6 months and consists of several main stages, which may vary in duration depending on the pace at which the intern learns and their individual results.

Before starting: Pre-Onboarding

Once the intern is formally hired, we agree on a convenient start date. We clarify the working hours (adjusted to personal commitments, education, etc.) and the working environment (in-office or remote work). At Stenik, we are flexible in both regards.

Stage 1: Onboarding

In the first few days/weeks, the new colleague undergoes a well-established onboarding process to familiarize themselves with the company's working style, understand the responsibilities of the position and the workflow, and get to know the colleagues in the team—even receiving training on how to use the office coffee machine and other conveniences.

The intern is assigned a mentor who will mainly guide them during their introduction, provide directions and feedback, and assess their performance at different stages of the internship program.

The new colleague is provided with specially created training videos and programs to help them acquire basic knowledge on using various tools, the internal ticket system, and the main workflow.

Stage 2: First real tasks with the mentors

Once the intern adapts to the work environment, socializes with the team, and completes the introductory training, they move on to the next stage, which involves working on real projects in a team. The goal is for the intern to gain experience, knowledge, and skills while developing work habits through collaborative work with more experienced colleagues under the guidance and direction of their mentor. In this stage, the intern builds skills for teamwork and learns effective communication with colleagues from other departments.

Stage 3: Independent work, with mentor assistance

The third stage is practical and focused on acquiring and refining knowledge, synthesizing it, and applying it in real-world scenarios. The intern takes on specific assigned tasks but can always consult the team of eCommerce specialists for any questions or issues. The goal is for the intern to be proactive, with guidance from their mentor and team, to feel confident in completing tasks successfully.

Stage 4: Midterm evaluation, guidelines, and goals

Throughout the internship, we strive for two-way (interactive) communication with the new colleague. We provide regular and systematic feedback on their performance at different stages. If necessary, we offer advice and guidelines to help them grow, achieve better results, and feel more confident in their tasks. In return, we ask the intern for feedback and self-assessment, discussing the positive and negative aspects of their progress, difficulties they face, or additional resources they may need. We clearly define the company’s expectations for the next phase of the internship, including specific goals and priorities.

Stage 5: More independent work

In the penultimate stage of the program, the intern is given the opportunity to further develop their theoretical knowledge and acquire practical know-how by working more independently on individual tasks related to their assigned projects.

Stage 6: Final evaluation and potential job offer

Upon successfully completing the internship, the intern receives feedback and an evaluation of their performance from their mentor and the Stenik leadership. Based on this, they may also receive a potential offer for further development in the area they wish to pursue within the company.

If the intern is satisfied with their work, is motivated, and demonstrates skills and good results, they will have the opportunity to transition to a permanent position at the company and work with us long-term. Together, we will create a development plan based on their current role, potential future roles, and personal growth and career aspirations within Stenik.

Many participants in our internship program receive job offers and choose to continue their careers at Stenik.
