On May 10, 2025, the third edition of "The Bulgarian Dream: Me and My Meaning" took place at Campus X Event Center - an inspiring meeting with personalities and leaders from various fields who shared their experience and vision for a successful and meaningful business. Guest participant Stefan Chorbanov, one of the founders of Stenik, spoke alongside host Milen Velikov about where the meaning lies in the eCommerce sector and in building a sustainable and motivated team.

Delivering Value-Added Solutions - Put Yourself in the Customer’s Shoes

Stefan emphasized that the key to successful client work and building sustainable relationships is understanding their needs through their own perspective. He shared how, together with his partners, they created their own online store to experience the entire process - from stocking goods to delivery and customer feedback. This helped them see where they could add value and improve the customer experience.

“To do meaningful things, you really have to put yourself in the customer’s shoes,” Stefan told the audience. “Only then can you deliver added value and sustainable success.”

We Put Meaning into People and the Team

One of the topics discussed was caring for the team. Stefan explained how at Stenik, they manage to train people from different backgrounds who have now gained valuable experience and built professional careers in eCommerce. He highlighted that his greatest motivation is to see how people in the team grow, build their lives, start families, and create their homes.

“More time for family leads to better results in business,” Stefan shared, adding that work-life balance is a priority.

Bulgarian Business and the Need for Custom Solutions

Stefan addressed the specifics of Bulgarian business, which requires individualized and custom solutions, especially in the eCommerce field. During the discussion, he encouraged Bulgarian retailers to broaden their horizons beyond Bulgaria and focus on markets in Central and Eastern Europe.

“The Bulgarian Dream” - Inspiration and a Social Cause

The Bulgarian Dream: Me and My Meaning” is an event created to inspire and provoke participants to reflect on the meaning of business and life. The event’s founder, Nikolay Vasilev, describes it as “a meeting of generations, ideas, dreams, and opinions,” where every opinion is important and every idea has its place. Through the collected donations, the event supports the foundation “For Our Children,” making participation not only beneficial for business but also socially meaningful.
