The integration adds two main delivery methods to the checkout process - delivery to an address and delivery to a Europat office. The module automatically loads the courier’s latest list of cities and offices, helping reduce user errors when entering delivery information.

Checkout features (for customers):

  • Delivery to address: Fields for entering an exact address and an integrated database of valid locations, synchronized with Europat for continuous updates.
  • Delivery to office: Dynamic city selection and an interactive list of the corresponding Europat offices.
  • Flexible pricing: Support for two different options for calculating the delivery fee during checkout:
    - Fixed Price: Setting a delivery fee through the online store’s administrative panel.
    - Table Rates: Automatic price calculation based on product weight through a predefined CSV file.

How does the delivery option work in the online store checkout?

1. Delivery method selection

When completing an order in the online store checkout, in the “Choose Delivery Method” section, the customer sees the newly integrated options alongside the other available delivery alternatives:

  • Europat - to address: For direct delivery to the customer’s specified address.
  • Europat - to office: For collecting the shipment from a convenient courier network location.

2. Delivery address / office selection

The interface adapts instantly depending on the selected method:

  • When “Europat - to address” is selected: The customer begins typing the location in the “City” field, and the intelligent system activates an autocomplete dropdown menu with validation. Immediately after selecting a city, the module automatically fills in the corresponding “Postal Code”, after which the customer enters their exact address. The “Address” field is a single text field for entering the full delivery address, designed to make the process faster and easier. While these required fields remain empty, a helper message is displayed below: “Please fill in the fields above to generate a delivery price.”
  • When “Europat - to office” is selected: After the customer starts typing the city name in the “City” field, the module suggests valid matches. Once the city is selected, an additional dynamic “Office” field appears below it. It contains a dropdown list with all current Europat offices in the selected location.

3. Payment

Once the delivery details have been completed and the price has been calculated automatically, the customer proceeds to the “Payment Method” section.

How are shipments and shipping labels managed by the merchant?

The solution allows shipping labels to be generated, tracked, and cancelled with a single click directly from Magento. Administrators do not need to transfer data manually, as recipient information, shipment weight, and amounts are automatically sent to the courier system. It also provides the ability for the online merchant to enter data (default business information) for easy shipping label generation.

  • Individual request: Ability to generate a manual courier pickup request for a specific order.
  • Bulk request: Mass action for multiple selected orders for which shipping labels have already been generated.
  • Request Cancellation: Functionality for cancelling an already submitted courier pickup request.

Automatic status synchronization represents a continuous two-way exchange of information between Magento and the Europat system - order statuses are updated automatically based on the movement of the shipment.
